The documentary film “A Little Bit of So Much Truth/Un Poquito de Tanta Verdad” about the popular uprising in the Mexican state of Oaxaca in 2006 is scheduled for screening this evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. When a broad-based, non-violent, popular uprising exploded in Oaxaca, some called it the first Latin American revolution of the 21st century. The film captures the phenomenon that emerged when school teachers, housewives, indigenous communities, health workers, farmers and students used media to defend their struggle for justice. Once the snow has melted and Spring has sprung, it’s Spring home maintenance time! Project Home will offer a free Basic Home Maintenance class from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Fitchburg Public Library, 5530 Lacy Road. Classes are taught by Project Home staff and other local, skilled professionals. Advance registration is required. Call the library at 729-1769 to reserve your spot.
