A “Work Smart” job assistance event will be held today from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road. Drop in for a 30 to 60 minute session with a job coach to assess your career goals, find out if you qualify for additional programs and services through the WorkSmart Network and get help with job searches, resumes and interviewing. Thinking about trying a triathlon? A “Triathlon for Everyone” workshop will be held tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Presenter Philip is an experienced educator and triathlete who is enthusiastic about encouraging others to experience the sport. He’ll detail the training required, distance variations, equipment needed, local resources, monetary and time factors.The hardest line to cross in any race is the start line, not the finish line. A presentation on “Growing Wisconsin’s Creative Power: A Community Conversation” is scheduled for this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Join this community conversation to discuss ways to harness creativity to make our state stronger.
