A free public screening of the the Pixar film “The Incredibles” is scheduled for this evening from 6 to 8 a.m at the Bayview Foundation Community Center, 601 Bayview Triangle. For information, phone 577-5726.
The first annual Nuestro Mundo Puma Pounce and Bounce 5k and Kids’ Race will be held Saturday, May 27th in Monona’s Winnequah Park. A community celebration with food, music and kids’ activities will follow the run. Check-in and onsite registration begins at 9 a.m. with the 5k run starting at 10:30 a.m. Phone 843-1250. All proceeds will support Nuestro Mundo Inc., a non-profit organization that enhances multicultural educational opportunities in Spanish and English.
Join Naturalist Brian Schneider on Saturday, May 27th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for an easy family-friendly walk from the Aldo Leopold Nature Center to the Edna Taylor Conservation Park. Look for migrating Warblers and other colorful Spring birds, as well as nesting behaviors for Wisconsin resident birds. Meet at Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 330 Femrite Drive. Mighty volunteers are needed to answer phones during W-O-R-T’s Summer Pledge Drive from June 7th through the 14th. One, two and three hour shifts, daytime and evenings, are available.
