Enjoy a free tour of the Pope Farm Conservancy’s six different prairies, including an oak savanna, on Saturday, July 8th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Hear the story of how crop fields and bare ground were restored to one of the world’s most rare and biologically diverse ecosystems. Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind are available today from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Boulevard. Writing projects can include resumes and cover letters, school assignments, personal letters, applications, forms, newsletters or any other kind of writing. Basic computer help, such as setting up email accounts, searching for jobs online, or filling out online job applications, is also available. Call 266-6385 to make an appointment.
Sign up today for a free one-hour session with a computer coach at the Alicia Ashman Library, 733 North High Point Road, on Saturday, July 8th. Sessions will be offered at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Benefit from individualized instruction on using word processing, spreadsheets and other computer resources. Phone 824-1780 to register.
