A free presentation to help seniors avoid financial fraud is scheduled for Wednesday, July 12th from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Madison Senior Center, 330 West Mifflin Street. The majority of those who exploit the elderly aren’t strangers, but rather family members, friends or other associates? Learn tips on how to protect yourself, and who to go to if you suspect you’re being taken advantage of. The presentation will be followed by question and answer time. For information, phone 266-6581.
Volunteers are needed to help with the WORT booth at The 12th Annual Fete de Marquette, a free music festival celebrating French culture and benefitting the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center. Various volunteer spots are available from July 14th through July 16th. Have a great time while helping support WORT.
