The City Clerk’s Office needs help educating voters about the new voter ID law. Every eligible voter has the right to vote. If you’d like to serve as a Voter Education Ambassador, you’re invited to join a 90-minute training session from 2:30 to 4 p.m., Friday, September 16th at the Madison Water Utility, 119 East Olin Avenue. The City Clerk will deputize you to register City of Madison voters. You will also learn how to accurately answer questions about voter ID, absentee voting, and the election process. It’s Opening Night! Take in the exclusive midwest premiere of the film, “The Best Democracy Money Can Buy – a Tale of Billionaires and Ballot Bandits”, by Greg Palast and David Ambrose, tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Barrymore Theatre, 2090 Atwood Avenue. The film includes an exposé of the billionaire behind Donald Trump and a look at the most racist vote-snatching trickery since Katherine Harris made “Voting While Black” a crime.
