This is the Insurgent Radio Kiosk for Monday, January 29th
It’s today’s Action Calendar!
Come learn about the Apollo moon landing missions, the Mars Rover missions, and the importance of putting humans on Mars at a free presentation from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30th, at the Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Boulevard. The UW Geology Museum, in partnership with NASA, will also be collecting stories from anyone who might remember experiencing the moon landings, through TV, radio or print. If you’d like to share your story, museum staff will have recording equipment available to preserve your experience of the landings. Light refreshments will be served. Phone 266-6385 for information.
The Road Home Dane County provides opportunities for homeless children and their families to achieve self-determined goals and affordable, stable housing. They have many volunteer opportunities. Call 608-294-7998 for more information.
Evening Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 276-7598.
