The Wisconsin Historical Museum will offer a free presentation on Wisconsin’s German Language newspapers at noon on Tuesday, August 8th at the Museum, 30 North Carroll Street. The presentation will track the evolution of the German language press and offer insight to the history of German immigration to the state. Free public screening of the acclaimed documentary film, “The Mask You Live In”, is scheduled for this evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road. The film follows boys and young men struggling to stay true to themselves, while negotiating America’s narrow definition of masculinity. Hosted by Domestic Abuse Intervention Services. The Clean Sweep Hazardous Waste Site is open year-round at the county landfill. The site operates Tuesdays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 to 10:45 a.m. There is a fee per drop-off. Clean Sweep is located at 7102 US Highway 12 in Madison.
