Celebrate rural life with author Jerry Apps and his photographer son Steve, at the Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Boulevard, tonight at 7 p.m. Jerry and Steve will share their family’s 50-year love affair with their 120-acre farm. Their observations are paired with stunning photos of the farm. Jerry Apps is an award-winning author and professor emeritus at UW-Madison. Steve Apps is chief photographer for the Wisconsin State Journal. Call 608-266-6385 for information.

Enjoy a fun and active fitness class for children ages 18 months to five years and their parents or caregivers from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30th at the Hawthorne Library, 2707 East Washington. Learn songs, games, and exercises. Mindfulness, wellness, and self-esteem are also emphasized. For more information, phone 608-246-4548.
