Madison Police Chief Michael Koval will be hosting a community forum tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m at the Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. He’ll be discussing concerns specific to the Central District. This is a great opportunity to come listen to the Chief, ask questions and discuss concerns. Phone 266-4022 for information.
The West Madison Senior Coalition will offer meals to those 60 and older on Tuesday, March 6th, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Meadowridge Library, 5726 Raymond Road. There is a suggested minimum donation of $4.00, but participants can contribute what is affordable. Transportation is also available with an additional $1.00 donation. Meal and bus reservations or cancellations should be made today by calling 238-0196.
Teens interested in getting a job are encouraged to join the Urban League’s Briarpatch Youth Employment Program. Learn skills for finding, getting and keeping a job. It’s a 3 week, 6 session program followed by one-on-one employment counseling. The first session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6th from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Urban League’s Employment and Training Center, 658 South Gammon Road. For details, phone 245-2550. The program is free and open to all.
