A free talk on “Welcoming the Stranger: Immigrant Justice and the Faith Community!” by Sergio Gonzalez, a historian from UW-Madison and organizer for the Dane Sanctuary Coalition will be presented tonight at 6 p.m. at the Lussier Community Center, 55 South Gammon Road. Sergio will share his research on the history of Latino migration to Wisconsin, the faith communities they developed here, and the interaction of faith and cultures, including the development of the New Sanctuary Movement in Wisconsin. A free workshop on researching your family history will be offered tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Lori Bessler will provide information on how to research your family using online resources and collections found at the Wisconsin Historical Society. The City of Madison Parks Division invites the community to attend the second public input meeting on the Brittingham Dog Park Improvements tonight at 7 p.m. at the Capitol Lakes Retirement Community, 333 West Main Street.
