This is the Insurgent Radio Kiosk for Thursday, June 14th
It’s today’s Action Calendar!
A series of free presentations and discussions are scheduled as part of the “Radical Perspectives on the ’60s and Beyond: a Teach-In and Intergenerational Dialogue!” running from today, through Saturday, June 16th. Complementing the sold-out Madison Reunion, these Radical Perspectives events will bring together many former and current Madison activists to investigate what happened in the ’60s and what needs to happen now to carry Radical Left initiatives forward. Today’s event, titled, “The Living Legacy of The Sixties”, will kick off at 6:30 p.m at the Madison Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Phone 284-9082 for information.
Doctor Stephen Rosenberg, Radiation Oncology Chief Resident at the UW Carbone Cancer Center, will discuss his book, “Cancer: what you need to know: overcome the 10 common mistakes patients make”, tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Alicia Ashman Library, 733 North High Point Road. Helping cancer patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, Dr. Rosenberg says, “there’s a lot of textbooks out there on cancer, but they miss a lot of good information for patients going through this really overwhelming diagnosis.” For information, phone 824-1780.
