It’s This Weekend’s Action Calendar!

A series of free presentations and discussions are scheduled as part of the “Radical Perspectives on the ’60s and Beyond: a Teach-In and Intergenerational Dialogue!” running through Saturday, June 16th. Today’s event features an author’s talk from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at a Room of One’s Own Bookstore, 315 West Gorham Street. Authors will include Max Elbaum reading from his book “Revolution in the Air: Sixties Radicals Turn to Lenin, Mao and Che”. For information, phone 284-9082.

On Saturday, June 16th, the Radical Perspectives event will feature a teach-in from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the UW Union South, 1308 West Dayton Street. More than a dozen panel discussions are scheduled. Phone 284-9082 for details.

Ho-Chunk Nation Historical Director Jon Greendeer will summarize key themes affecting the preservation of mounds and other ancient sites, stressing the roles of new mapping and teaching technologies, on Saturday, June 16th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Goodman Library, 2222 South Park Street. Presented by the Ancient Earthworks Society of Wisconsin. Phone 266-6395 for information.
