Free mending of anything you might need repaired as winter arrives is available on Thursday, January 2nd from 10 a.m to noon at Madison’s Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Items can include clothing, coats or any fabric-related item. First come, first served. All work is completed on site. For information, phone 266-6300.
Due to a recent court ruling regarding inactivation of voter registrations, the Madison City Clerk’s Office strongly encourages voters to verify their registration status. Voters with on-line access may verify their registrations by visiting MyVote.wi.gov. Voters without access to the internet are encouraged to contact the City Clerk’s Office directly to verify their registration status. Phone 266-4601 for information.
Evening Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 276-7598.
The Goodman Community Center Older Adult program offers a regular calendar of activities and resources for living well for adults age 60 and over. See old friends and make new ones while you enjoy gentle exercise, delicious meals, favorite games and other programs. No reservations or registrations are required for meals and programs.
